GROUNDWERK 3.0 // SELF-EMPLOYMENT FOR CREATIVES
18-May-2018 10:41

In this free artists’ workshop led by Shakyra Campbell, learn how to set up as a Freelancer and successfully complete a tax return as a self-employed artist or creative. Gain an understanding of what you need for your tax return and how to navigate HMRC. There will also be an opportunity for discussion on how to identify a good contract and what your rights are as a Freelancer working for an organisation.

Turf’s Groundwerk programme is a monthly series of free practical workshops for artists and creatives wishing to gain the skills to support their practice.

This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is recommended, as spaces are limited.

// DONATE?

When booking you can now add a donation to Turf to support our programme if you wish. We’re a registered charity (#1160527) and have supported the work of over 350 artists since 2013, whilst also running MOSS (a collective of local artists living with learning disabilities), a support & residency programme for Croydon School of Art students, free family workshops, a youth programme, projects with local Croydon schools & more. We value any and all support; your support in simply attending our exhibitions & events is just as valued if you’re not able to donate.
