Dave Ellis and Boo Howard will be appearing at Croydon Folk Club, Cedar Hall at Ruskin House, 23 Coombe Road. Croydon on Monday 27th January from 8.15.

After playing in various guises for some years, Dave, from Liverpool, and Boo, from London, got together in 1998.

Dave's intricate guitar work and Boo's mellow vocals create something very different and entirely new in the folk and acoustic clubs.

Their songs - an eclectic mix from jazz to blues to bluegrass - are intelligently constructed and elegantly articulated and always entertaining.

They have released several CDs since their debut acoustic recording, “Maybe I Might Fall” in 1999.

Their latest release, “Great Pleasure”, with its ambitious playing, singing and songwriting, is well-worthy of your attention.

Entrance: £8 or £6 for members.
