An exploration of the human form. Book your place online: http://matthewsyard.com/box-office

A series of workshops with alternating models with like-minded individuals. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced artist - it doesn't matter. All are welcome. The aims of these workshops are to make available independent and intensive life drawing sessions that allow you to pursue any work you wish to pursue in a creative, professional environment, without having to worry about the expense or stress of hiring a model. Whether you wish to explore painting, charcoal or simply sketching - all mediums and abilities are welcome (except photography I'm afraid). There are no expectations, only freedom of expression.

We start each session with a 30mins warm-up with several poses, to then two intensive poses of 1 hours, each with a 5 mins break every 30 mins for the model. This workshop is ideal for all ages, especially students with an opportunity for the casual critique of other artists in the session and networking. You can also enjoy some coffee and cake from Bobski's in the Cafe or drinks from the Bar. These are purposely late night sessions, long, largely independent, and uninterrupted so we can maximise the time to create something and also those who just want to unwind from work without forced conversation, direction or distraction from what they want to achieve. Great for anyone trying to improve their portfolio or get back into drawing.

£10 for Non - Members | £5 for Members. There are only limited places available per session,no walk-ins You are advised to bring your own materials or anything you hope to use as these will not be provided. You are welcome to bring your own easel or canvas.

All Artists are welcome to create any size of work, please let me know if this will be particularly large! Remember it doesn't matter if you don't class yourself as an artist, you could work in the office and just looking to nurse your creative streak and simply escape the routine!

Some materials such as easels may be available for hire or to buy, if this interests you please get in touch. Any questions tweet me @LeoniDescartes or Info@Matthewsyard.com
