A new Mel Brooks Musical

Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan

Music and Lyrics by Mel Brooks

CODA are delighted to return to the Ashcroft Playhouse with Mel Brooks’s dazzlingly entertaining and side-splittingly hilarious musical The Producers.

When down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock meets mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom, they hatch a plan to diddle their little old lady backers out of millions of dollars by producing the biggest flop in theatrical history: Springtime For Hitler!

They seek out the worst script, the worst director and the worst actors. But when the show is a massive hit, Bialystock and Bloom must face the music…

This award-winning musical is fit to burst with unruly characters and show-stopping songs such as I Wanna be a Producer, Keep It Gay, When You Got It Flaunt It, and the immortal Springtime For Hitler.

CODA are delighted to present the first production at the newly refurbished and reopened Fairfield Halls.

The Producers runs from Tuesday 17th September to Saturday 21st September at Ashcroft Playhouse, Fairfield Halls, Croydon, with evening performances at 7:45pm and a matinee on Saturday 21st September at 2:30pm. Tickets cost from £15 (with transaction fee applying).
