Croydon Social Enterprise Network

Croydon Social Enterprise Network

Croydon is set to become the first London borough to win social enterprise place status, in recognition of the number of businesses in the borough that are run for the benefit of the community.

National campaign body Social Enterprise UK is to officially award Croydon with the status at a launch event today.

There are currently 11 towns and cities across the country with social enterprise place status.

Croydon-based social enterprises, which are businesses that trade for a social or environmental purpose, include the Beanies café and crèche, MyOutSpace, Caysh, Mum’s the Chef, and PJs community services.
